Competition for Violin, Piano, Flute & Clarinet

8th Emirates International Peace Music Festival
(For Young Virtuosos)
1st – 6th of April 2012
To continue with our mission of development and appreciation of classical music talent in the U.A.E and the Arabian Gulf Countries, the directors of the festival are organizing a Piano, Violin, Flute competition open to All GCC national and expat resident thereof.
The competition will be held in three categories for Piano & Violin and one category for flute and clarinet
Venue: Dubai Media City - REUTER Building , 6th floor EYSO headquarters.

Remark:
· Participants in each category for each instrument and category are required to play a piece or etude of their own choice (max 5 minutes) in the same level as the mandatory concertos mentioned above. The level of difficulty of the chosen piece will be eligible to bonus points.
· For the 3rd category in Piano competition competitors have a choice to play all three movement of the concerto or the first movement of the concerto plus their own choice of a virtuoso piece and an etude.
Participation Fees:
· Participants from outside UAE are required to pay US $ 220.00 per competitor or accompanying Chaperon. This participation fees include hotel and food for two days. Additional days are at US $ 110.00 per day per person.
· Participants from within UAE are required to pay AED 300.00
· Participants from Members of EYSO Orchestra AED 200.00

Rewards:
Since the objectives of these competitions are to encourage and advance the will and effort of the competitors, All participants in the competition will receive:
- A certificate of participation and appreciation and a gift.
- The 1st, 2nd & 3rd prize winners will receive an award certificate and a special gift.
- The 1st prize winner from each category will play the concerto with Emirates Youth Symphony Orchestra and the guest orchestra of Premier Music College of Prague under the baton of Riad Kudsi during the 8th International Peace Music Festival (for Young Virtuosos).
- Both competition and festival will be videotaped a copy of which will be given to all participants.
